Robin L. (Shields) Matthews, 70, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025.

Born in Butler on Aug. 7, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Jean (French) Shields.

Robin was a graduate of Slippery Rock Area High School. She worked at a variety of jobs while raising four children. She was also an avid reader.

Robin is survived by one daughter, Holly (Aaron) Depew; and three sons, Christopher Plaisted, Joel (Heather) Plaisted and Toby Plaisted. She is also survived by one brother, Gary (Cheryl) Shields; one granddaughter; and seven grandsons.

Along with her parents, Robin was preceded in death by her sister, Dawn (Gordon) Cratty.

MATTHEWS — All services for Robin L. (Shields) Matthews, who died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
