Matthew Richard Sefscik went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, while surrounded by family.

Matthew was born to Rich and Judy Sefscik on July 22,1985, in Pittsburgh.

Growing up, Matthew loved horseback riding, swimming and sing-along videos. He enjoyed his cars and puzzles too. He attended DT Watson, Clarence Brown and in 2006 he graduated from Sunrise School in Monroeville.

Throughout adulthood, Matthew loved car rides, bike rides through Joyriders of Pittsburgh, and swinging outside on his swing. He looked forward to his weekly trips with mom and dad to McDonald’s or Arby’s, and as soon as he was done eating, he would reach for the cooler to get chocolate! He enjoyed outings and trips to the amusement parks with his housemates and caregivers from Lifesteps, where he rode rides with a giant smile on his face. He also enjoyed outings with his day program at AAC. One of his most loved activities was dancing around with his toy bus to his favorite video, Rockin’ Reindeer, on repeat!

He is survived by his loving parents, Rich and Judy Sefscik of Zelienople; his favorite sister, Julie (Eric) Fabritius of Zelienople; and his two nieces, Madison and Allison Fabritius. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Rita Ford; and paternal grandparents, Nicholas and Pauline Sefscik.

SEFSCIK — Friends and family of Matthew Richard Sefscik, who died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025, will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Divine Grace Parish, St. Gregory Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople.
