Edkins Watson

Sharon Gamble Edkins Watson, passed away at the age of 61, unexpectedly at her home of 40 years in Cranberry Township on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 14, 2025.

Sharon will be remembered and missed every day by her loving daughter, Amanda Catherine Watson; her husband, James Watson; her older siblings, William Gamble, Catherine Gamble Golden, Richard Gamble, Frances Chew and Robert Gamble; her longtime best friend, Sue Cole Pickett; her three mother figures, Eva Cole, Loretta Edkins and Audrey Watson; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Watson Boyd; as well as several nieces and nephews; and of course, her grandkitties, Nugget Lucille and Maggie Mae.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and William; her first love, Kevin Edkins; her father-in-law, George Watson; her best friend’s husband, Douglas Pickett; her former father-in-law, Howard Edkins; her nephews, Brian and Scott Boyd; as well as many individuals she aided in her years working as a CNA and caregiver for the elderly.

She was a 1981 graduate of Mars High School and most recently was a pharmacy tech at CVS Pharmacy in Cranberry Township.

EDKINS WATSON — Friends of Sharon Gamble Edkins Watson, who died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Beth Nelson will officiate.
