Butler VA offering help with new sign-in process
The VA Butler Healthcare System is offering assistance to veterans with the VA’s new sign-in system in January.
“Tech Tuesdays” will be held every Tuesday in January, starting Jan. 7 at the Abie Abraham VA Health Care Center, 353 N. Duffy Road in Center Township. VA staff will be available to help veterans with creating new sign-in accounts through either Login.gov or ID.me.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs previously announced it will remove the My HealtheVet login option, and will have the two secure sign-in options for all VA websites and apps. Those two options will be needed to log in to a My HealtheVet health portal.
The Butler VA said in a news release veterans should bring a mobile phone, tablet or laptop, two primary forms of government-issued ID’s and two alternate forms of ID (such as social security, DD-214 document or a utility bill).
“We strongly encourage veterans to visit us this January to learn more about the secure sign-in process and to create a secure account as soon as possible,” Sharon Coyle, director of the Butler VA health care system said in the release. “Creating a new secure account will ensure Veterans do not experience a lapse in accessing their online health information and will provide them with enhanced security.”
