Alan A. Napleton, born on Oct. 27, 1949, in Butler, passed away peacefully at his home in Denton, Texas, on Monday, Dec. 2, 2024.

A man of unwavering Catholic faith, Alan was deeply devoted to his family, his friends, and his mission to serve the Church.

Alan graduated summa cum laude from Robert Morris University in 1974. His professional journey began as senior vice president of business development at R&B Development, where he worked until 1990. Inspired by his faith, he transitioned his career to focus on Catholic initiatives. In 1997, Alan founded the Catholic Marketing Network, creating a platform to unite Catholic organizations and businesses. From 2004, he served as president of Basilica Press and Viva Guadalupe. He also held the role of executive director for the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation from 2003 to 2008. For nearly 15 years, Alan brought his leadership and vision to Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) as an event planner, contributing significantly to its mission.

Alan is survived by his dearly loved son, John Paul Napleton; his brother, John Napleton of Virginia; and sisters, Carol Green of Pennsylvania, Mary Cooney of Maryland and Peggy Napleton of Texas. He leaves behind nieces and nephews, Bill (Chris) Secunda, David (Peggy) Secunda, DeeAnn (Ralph) Graham, Susan (Gary) Raabe, Sharon Hantz, Joe Green.

Alan’s legacy of love and laughter is also carried forward by his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sonia and Damon Hantz, Sara (Brad) Patton, Maggie (Tom) Duer, Lilly Secunda, Alan (Kristen) Jackson, Zachary and Luke Secunda, Cassy (Ben) Steratore, Elizabeth (Brian) Hubbard, Emily, Theresa, Anna and Clara Raabe; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Gracie, Silas and Ellie Patton, Chase Jackson, Logan, Zoey and Stella Duer and James Hubbard.

He was preceded in death by his devoted parents and his dear sisters, Barbara Secunda and Jeanette “Nettie” Napleton.

Alan’s life was a testament to his faith and dedication to his family, friends and Catholic community. His profound impact will forever be cherished by all who were blessed to know and love him.
