Police arrest Butler man, accuse him of punching man and kicking dog
Butler city police were called to Kaufman Drive in Butler after receiving a call about an altercation that police say left a man confused and unable to speak with officers or first responders.
Gregory A. Stepp, 53 of Butler, was charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct after multiple witnesses came forward advising that he struck a man, knocking him to the ground.
Another witness added that Stepp kicked the man’s dog away before striking him.
According to the criminal complaint, police attempted to interview the man at the scene but described the man as “very confused” and unable to inform medics of his exact age or the day of the week.
