Kushnereit

Karl R. Kushnereit, 94, of Cranberry Township, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, while under the care of St. John Specialty Care.

Born Jan. 2, 1930, in Aliquippa, he was the son of the late Fred and Freda (Petzold) Kushnereit.

Karl was a devoted member of Divine Grace Parish, St. Ferdinand’s Church. He served as a greeter and a member of the church council. He also was a former president of the men’s club. Karl was a proud U.S. Navy veteran. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling and gardening. He also was an avid Steelers fan. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Karl leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 68 wonderful years, Marion (Haefner); his children, Richard Karl “Rick” Kushnereit (Janet) of Cranberry Township, David Paul Kushnereit (Susan) of Evans City, Susan Marie Graf (Bill) of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., and Kurt William Kushnereit of Brazil, Ind.; his eight grandchildren; and his six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Frederick Kushnereit and Rudolph Paul Kushnereit; and his sister, Ruth M. Caler.

KUSHNEREIT — Friends and family of Karl R. Kushnereit, who died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, at BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Divine Grace Parish, St. Ferdinand Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.

Karl will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens with military honors.
