Martino

Patsy V. Martino, 84, of Harrisville, peacefully passed away the morning of Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, in the comfort of his home.

He was born on May 28, 1940, in Boyers, as the son of the late Rocco and Edith (Tonelli) Martino.

Patsy was a member of St. Faustina Parish, faithfully attending St. Anthony Church in Forestville. He was a Third Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He retired from Slippery Rock University, where he was a plumber foreman for many years. He raised mink for over 30 years and enjoyed playing in a golf league. Patsy was the 1993 Bocce Champion. He was a lifetime member of the Boyers Sportsmen’s Association and was an avid hunter and fisherman, sharing his love for both with his family.

Patsy is survived by his wife of 59 years, M. Althea (Heller) Martino; three sons, John (Diane) Martino of Boyers, Joe (Jamie) Martino of Harrisville and Brian (Diana) Martino of Hilliards; his daughter-in-law, Patti (DeMattteis) Martino; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Jane Calderone of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

Patsy was preceded in death by his son, Keith; his granddaughter, Heather; two brothers; and one sister.

MARTINO — Visitation for Patsy V. Martino, who died Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, will be held privately Sunday, Oct. 27, at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at St. Anthony Church, 232 Boyers Road, Harrisville, with Father Adam Verona officiating. Burial will follow in Epiphany Cemetery, Boyers.
