Deborah Dukes
Deborah A. Charles Dukes, 71, of Mars, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones while under the care of the hospice at AHN Wexford.
Born in Pittsburgh on March 12, 1953, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Geraldine M. Collins Charles.
After seeking many endeavors, Deb returned to Mars where she served on the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mars VFW Post 7505. She worked as a cashier and cook for Planet Mart for 13 years before her retirement.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Daniel Dukes, whom she married on Oct. 20, 1998; her brother, Jim Charles (Sharon); her sisters, Becky Kincaid and Patricia Berk; her grandchildren, Brandi, Tristan and Aurora; her great-grandchildren, Jayden and Sydney; and her nephews, Shane, Mark, Chuck, Ryan and Travis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Steven A. Dumencic Jr.; and her sister, Pamela Charles.
DUKES — A celebration of life for Deborah A. Charles Dukes, who died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, will be announced at a later date.
Memorials in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
