Wissinger

Rick Wissinger, 69, of Butler, was his own man. He was born on June 20, 1955, and passed away on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, at his home.

He touched many people in his life who loved and cared for him. Rick loved his children with all his heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working in his yard, listening to country music and Pittsburgh sports teams.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Lindsay) Wissinger; his sons, Richard (Jaclyn), Brian (Amanda) and Chad (Kayla); his daughters, Dannielle (Shields) Macurdy and Chrissy (Matt) Gilliland; and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings, Judy (Fran) Roudybush, Gary, Ken, Joyce Sasse, Linda (Jerry) Coward and sister-in-law, Doris; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and Ron; brother-in-law, Russ Sasse; sisters-in-law, Sharon and Loretta; and his parents, Lee and Della (Simmers) Wissinger.

WISSINGER — Family and friends of Rick Wissinger, who died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, are invited to attend a celebration of life from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2024, at his home. He will be greatly missed.

All services were held privately through the SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
