Old Economy Village is welcoming Harmony Society descendants for a day of activities and friendship on Saturday, Aug. 24.

Members of the Harmony Society will learn about their ancestors, meet distant cousins and enjoy a private tour of Old Economy.

Among the activities are lectures by historian Cheryl Courthard on the women of the Harmony Society, and Old Economy Village Curator Sarah Buffington on the Harmonists’ arrival in Economy in 1824, according to the Historic Harmony News.

Additionally, there will be a private tour of the new exhibit “Building Economy, In their Own Words,” and St. John’s Lutheran Church with the site’s curators and historians. An authentic German lunch and dinner will be included.
