Richard Palko
Richard J. Palko, 76, of Sarver, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
He was born Dec. 9, 1947, in Harrison Township to the late Thomas Palko Sr. and Mary (Kubla) Palko.
Richard resided in Maryland for 40 years, and following that Buffalo Township. He was a 1965 graduate of Freeport High School and worked as a technician for Westinghouse in Maryland for over 30 years. Richard was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church in Natrona Heights, and former member of Saint Matthias Church.
In his free time, he enjoyed playing euchre at the Owls club in Russellton and hunting at his camp in Center County. Richard also enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, and had attended the Sturgis motorcycle rally in South Dakota several times.
Survivors include his brothers, Edward T. (Eileen) Palko of Mars and Sylvester (Sarah) Palko of Buffalo Township; sister, Millicent Palko of Buffalo Township; nephews, Edward, Vincent, Dennis and Chad Palko; nieces, Annette Kline and Lynne LeClair; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Palko; and nephew, John Palko.
PALKO — Visitation for Richard J. Palko, who died Tuesday, July 16, 2024, will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at DUSTER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum. A Christian funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, 800 Montana Ave., Natrona Heights. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery.
