Daniel Yanity
Daniel “Dan” J. Yanity, 64, of Butler, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, with his wife, daughter, sister, family and friends by his side.
He was born in Indiana, Pa., on April 2, 1960, to the late James and Frances (Krovontka) Yanity.
Daniel was a 1978 graduate of Greensburg Salem High School. He built a successful Thomas’ English Muffin, Brown Berry and Entenmann’s franchise, which he operated for many years until he retired in 2016. Dan was known for being a natural storyteller and for his humor. As well as his love of Pepsi and his secret spaghetti sauce. He enjoyed reading, watching birds, cooking spaghetti and Western movies.
Dan was the beloved husband of Megan (Dorcy) Yanity, whom he married on May 25, 1991, at St. Conrad Catholic Church; father of Irene Yanity; and brother of Amy Jo Yanity and William Yanity. Dan is survived by his stepmother, Mary Yanity; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many family members and friends who loved him dearly.
YANITY — All services for Daniel “Dan” J. Yanity, who died Monday, July 8, 2024, were held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
