Joshua Richard Boettner, 19, of Butler Township, tragically passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

He was born in Butler on Feb. 21, 2005, to Shelly (Steven) Hromyak and Raymond (Samantha King) Harmon.

Josh graduated from Butler Area Senior High School and the Honors Society from Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School (HVAC) in 2023.

He worked for his cousin, Hunter Ploski, at HP Metal Works, doing HVAC work, a trade he loved! He enjoyed riding his dirt bike, fishing, hunting, hanging out with his friends and family and teasing his little sister. He always had a smile on his face and brought joy to so many people.

He is survived by his parents, Shelly (Steven) Hromyak and Raymond (Samantha King) Harmon; sister, Nikki Hromyak; stepsister, Brielle King; grandparents, Dick and Sue Boettner, Tom and Karla Hromyak, Raymond and Nancy Harmon, and Sonny and JoAnn Uplinger; plus a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

BOETTNER — Family and friends of Joshua Richard Boettner, who died Saturday, June 8, 2024, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Meridian Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., Butler, PA 16001, with Pastor Steve Franklin officiating. Everyone please meet at the church.

Josh will be laid to rest privately at Greenlawn Burial Estates in Butler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Josh’s honor to Meridian Presbyterian Church, Youth Group/Mission Trips, Memorial Fund for Josh Boettner, at the address above.
