Saul twins prepare for professional football in 1970
Twins Rich and Ron Saul were preparing to enter the professional football league in June 1970, but not before making a visit to their high school alma mater.
Rich Saul was signed for his first professional contract with the Los Angeles Rams, and Ron Saul was unsigned by the Houston Oilers, but was preparing to leave for the team’s training camp.
The twins boosted the number of ex-Tornado grid stars to enter the pro ranks to four, which also included their older brother, Bill Saul, and quarterback Terry Hanratty, who went on to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
