Beverly K. Christie, 78, of Cabot, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

Born in Kittanning on Jan. 29, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Monica (Burke) Moore. After graduating Butler High School in 1963, she married her loving and loyal husband, Dick, of 59 years.

Beverly was a homemaker. She enjoyed planting flowers, fishing, writing and painting. She loved to shop at Dollar General and always take the back roads. She was a fan of old country music and loved to dance. She enjoyed many camping trips with her family. Mostly she was content to live a quiet, simple life on “her hill,” where her husband made sure she had everything she needed.

Bev is survived by her husband, Richard James Christie. In addition to her husband, Bev is survived by her sons, Richard (Tracy) Christie and Scott (Jodie) Christie. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Joshua, Kelly, Jennifer (Justin), Tucker and Caden; and six great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her Grandma Bean.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Moore.

CHRISTIE — Family and friends of Beverly K. Christie, who died Thursday, June 6, 2024, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2024, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. Burial will be held privately.
