Local musician and entertainer Washboard Tony demonstrates the Mississippi rub board, a percussion instrument he wears like a vest.

A drum circle will be led by Washboard Tony at 6 p.m. June 12 at the Butler Public Library.

Instruments will be provided to those who participate. No musical ability or registration are required. All are welcome.

Those planning to attend are asked to bring a lawn chair. The drum circle will be canceled in the case of inclement weather.

The drum circle is part of the Stories We Share series of events, which were made possible through the support of the Janice Phillips Larrick Family Charitable Trust.
