School board remembers Rowan Elementary student
Landon Redpath, a 7-year-old student at Rowan Elementary School who died last week, was remembered by Seneca Valley School District’s board at a meeting Monday, June 3.
The board opened its meeting with a moment of silence in remembrance of the kindergarten student, who “will be fondly remembered for his sweet soul, electric personality and an immense love for his Mario games,” according to the district.
According to Landon’s obituary, he died Thursday, May 30. An organ donor, Landon “saved the lives of multiple children” in his passing, his obituary stated. His obituary did not specify a cause of death.
Landon, of Cranberry Township, leaves behind his parents, grandparents and two brothers, ages 8 and 2. His favorite places to travel, according to his obituary, were the beach and his brother’s soccer tournaments.
An online fundraiser was created to raise money toward medical and funerary expenses for the family.
