Clara Bow article misguided
The recent Butler Eagle article about Clara Bow’s life describing it as an example of “a victory march,” “a woman ahead of her time,” “the figurehead of American feminism,” who defined “what an American woman could and should be” was so completely misguided.
As she worked hard to pursue her rise to fame and Hollywood stardom, there were rumors of orgies, abortions, gambling problems and mental health breakdowns.
This is no “victory march” nor does it describe “what an American woman could and should be.” It’s a twisted version of feminism and womanhood the world wants to seduce your daughters and granddaughters with. Please don’t let them be fooled by it.
