Raymond E. Pfeifer Jr., 77, of Mars, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 28, 2024, at UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh on Oct. 8, 1946, he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Wilma Painter Pfeifer Sr.

Ray was a steel buyer for Edgewater Steel in Oakmont.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Saxonburg VFW Post 7376 and the Butler American Legion Post 117.

Surviving are his wife, Arlene L. Lotzbire Pfeifer, whom he married on Aug. 25, 1973; three sisters, Sandy Mickey and her husband, Jim, and Lisa and Lori Pfeifer; a brother, Lance Pfeifer and his wife, Leslie; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

PFEIFER — Friends of Raymond E. Pfeifer Jr., who died Tuesday, May 28, 2024, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. William Gilligan, pastor of the Nixon United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Township.
