Tourism bureau’s History Day to take place June 29
The Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau announced that its annual Butler County History Day will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29.
During this time, local museums and historical sites will be open and staffed with volunteers ready to share the history of Butler County.
Visitors will be able to pick up a Butler County History Day Passport at their first stop of the day and at each stop they can get their passport stamped. Any participant with at least three stamps can turn in the passport to enter a history-themed giveaway.
Participating organizations include Historic Harmony/Harmony Museum, Washington’s Trail 1753, Weavers' Cabin of Harmony, Mars Area History & Landmarks Society, Butler County Historical Society's Senator Walter Lowrie House, Evans City Historical Society, Zelienople Historical Society's Buhl and Passavant Houses, Jennings Environmental Education Center’s Foltz School, and the Butler Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America.
