Tilko 100th birthday
Catherine Tilko, of Center Township, celebrated her 100th birthday on May 17 with a family dinner at her home, where she has lived for 79 years.
The former Catherine Dellich was born May 17, 1924, in Williamsburg, Pa.
She married Stanley L. Tilko Sr. on Sept. 23, 1947, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. He is deceased.
Tilko has five children, Stan Jr., Dennis, John, Michael and Timothy, all of Butler.
She also has eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One grandson is deceased.
Tilko enjoys reading, watching golf on television, and visiting with her family members. She was an avid golfer and played with the former Armco Women’s Golf League.
She served as a volunteer at St. Paul Catholic School when her children were students there.
Tilko is a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in the All Saints Parish.
