Barbara Jean Campbell, 73, of Butler, formerly of Chicora, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Barbara was born in Butler on Aug. 19, 1950, and she was a daughter of the late Earl Saeler Sr. and Pauline Mary (Hinterlang) Saeler.

She was a 1969 graduate of Butler Senior High School and was married to Larry Dee Campbell in 1976. Barbara was a lifelong member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, and most recently was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Conrad Roman Catholic Church.

In her early years, Barbara had been employed by Howard Johnsons, Castle Rubber and from 1974 until 2012 was employed by Marmon/Keystone.

Barbara was also a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, entertaining, traveling and spending time playing cards with family and friends.

Surviving are her sisters and brother, Carol Saeler, Mary Lou Carlock, Helen (Steve) Malis, Kathleen (Chuck) Malinski and David (Kim) Saeler; sister-in-law, Pauline Saeler; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Dee Campbell; her sister, Margaret Elizabeth McMurdy; her brother, Earl Edward Jr.; brother-in-law, Richard Carlock; sisters-in-law and their husbands, Marjorie (Pete) Silverio and Doris (John) Price; as well as grandparents, aunts and uncles.

CAMPBELL — A Mass of Christian burial for Barbara Jean Campbell, who died Saturday, April 20, 2024, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2024 at St. Clare of Assisi Parish, St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road, Butler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Disabled American Veterans Chapter 64, P.O. Box 1728, Butler, PA 16003, or to the National Kidney Foundation of Western PA, 555 Grant St., Suite 380, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
