Nancy DeVore

Nancy DeVore, 77, of South Buffalo Township, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Born Sept. 1, 1946, in Kittanning, she was the daughter of the late Frank Livengood and Virginia (Bowser) Livengood.

Nancy was a 1964 graduate of Freeport High School, where she sang in the chorus and played piano. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. Nancy was a passionate piano player and loved to play at church and sing in the choir. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her loving sons, Van P. (Dawn) Vasbinder of Clover, S.C., and Donald J. (Lisa) DeVore of South Buffalo Township; five grandchildren, Thomas P., Van Allen, Krystal D. and Stephanie M. Vasbinder and Sara J. DeVore; and great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Parker, Colden, Paisley, Harper and twins on the way.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald DeVore.

DEVORE — Friends of Nancy DeVore, who died Friday, May 3, 2024, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2024, at the REDMOND FUNERAL HOME, 524 High St., Freeport.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Union Baptist Church, with Pastor Jonathan Hill officiating.

Burial will follow at McVille Union Cemetery.
