Robert McCurdy

McCurdy

Robert Bruce McCurdy, 74, of Seven Fields, passed away on Thursday morning, May 2, 2024, in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.

Born in Pittsburgh on June 13, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert George and Betty Baker McCurdy.

Bob had been an insurance agent for Kemper and CSC Insurance in Pittsburgh.

Bruce had many interests: music, books, beach vacations, his Saab and sports. He followed both professional sports and any team his grandchildren played on. Above all, he loved his family. With Julia, he enthusiastically supported his children and grandchildren. He will be missed, and his words — “Everything is copacetic” — live on.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Julia G. Sahli McCurdy, whom he married on July 14, 1973; two sons, Chris McCurdy (Kim) of Seven Fields and Todd McCurdy (Jennifer) of Bakerstown; his grandchildren, Chad (18), Brad (13), Kiley (13), Ella (12) and Lily (10) McCurdy; and his sister, Carolyn Erickson of Patzcuaro, Mexico.

MCCURDY — Arrangements for Robert Bruce McCurdy, who died Thursday, May 2, 2024, are private under the direction of MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
