Sara “Sally” Ann (Cox) Vardy, 79, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024, at her residence.

Sara was born April 4, 1945, to the late Gerald L. Cox and Agnes L. (Holquist) Cox.

Surviving are her husband, William L. Vardy Sr., whom she married May 6, 1994, and their 30th wedding anniversary was upcoming; one son, Michael Dittman; two grandchildren, Trevor Dittman and Stephanie (Michael) Blessing; two great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, William (Amy) Vardy Jr. and Theresa (Bob) Kennedy; seven stepgrandchildren; and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents.

VARDY — Per her wishes, there will be no public visitation for Sara “Sally” Ann (Cox) Vardy, who died Sunday, April 21, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Meridian Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., Butler, with the Rev. Dr. Steve Franklin officiating. A luncheon will follow.
