Here’s how to watch

Saxonburg business owner Doug Sprankle, owner of Sprankle’s Neighborhood Market, will compete on the nationally-syndicated game show “Family Feud,” along with four other members of the Sprankle family. The Sprankles’ appearance on “Family Feud,” taped in Georgia last year, is due to air nationwide on Wednesday evening, April 24.

Doug is appearing on the show alongside his nephew Colt, his father Randy, his older brother Ryan, and his sister-in-law Brandi.

Those in the area can watch the Sprankles’ “Family Feud” appearance at 7 p.m. Wednesday on WPKD-TV, aka KDKA Plus. This channel can be seen over-the-air on channel 19.1, and is available on Armstrong Cable channels 6 and 110.

The Sprankle family is also holding a “Family Feud” watch party at the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company grounds on Horne Avenue, starting at 4:30 p.m. Aside from the main event at 7 p.m., the party will feature mock games of “Family Feud,” as well as a Q&A with the Sprankle family about their appearance on the show.

The watch party will serve as a prelude to the Sprankle’s Campout for Community event, held the following day, also at the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company grounds. Originally, the event was planned for Leechburg, but was moved to Saxonburg to coincide with the watch party when the family found out what day they were due to appear on the TV show.

This story was updated at 1:38 p.m., April 24, 2024 to reflect that Colt Sprankle is Doug Sprankle’s nephew. A previous version of this story incorrectly said that Colt was Doug’s son.
