Pine Township, Allegheny County, is hosting an Earth Day event at its community center April 27.

The community event will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will feature food trucks, vendors, activity and information booths, giveaways, and an art exhibit. In addition, the township will be collecting and recycling a variety of items, including scrap metal, glass and cardboard.

Free activities will include a seminar on the importance of glass recycling by the Pennsylvania Resources Council and a Recycled and Upcycled Fashion Show by the Pine-Richland School District.

In the event of rain, activities will move inside the community center.
