Community band to play in Harrisville

The Harrisville Community Band will present its spring concert at 7 p.m. Friday, April 26, at the Harrisville Fire Hall, 313 E. Mercer St., Harrisville.

The community band was founded in 1965 and its current director is Jim Jaskowak, a Grove City Area School District music educator. Vic Karcher will be the master of ceremonies, according to the community band.

Some of the selections the band will play include, “American Collage,” “Ballad of Davy Crockett,” “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” “The Soulful Sixties” and “El Capitan March.”

The concert is free to attend. There will be refreshments available at intermission with an offering collected for the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Department.
