Taste of McKean coming back to Butler
Butler Cultural District and Experience Butler County will present “A Taste of McKean” from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, on McKean Street in Butler.
The event will feature strolling magician Steve Haberman and caricature artist Adam Walmsley at the Butler Area Public Library. Jazz performances by Gary Kleeman will also be featured at the Maridon Museum, where guests can make origami ghosts and pumpkins. Strolling button box musician Nic Landon will also make rounds and McKean Street residents will compete in a porch decorating contest.
There will be food from the Monroe Hotel along with local wines, brews and beverages for people with wristbands, which can be purchased for $10. Or, if you have a digital ticket to “Dueling Pianos” at the Penn Theater or Musical Theatre Guild’s performance, “Side Show,” you can show your ticket for a free wristband.
