Thomas Albert

Thomas R. Albert, 66, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

He was born on Nov. 13, 1957, to the late Richard P. Albert and Dorothy M. (Kaylor) Albert.

Tom graduated from Butler Area High School in 1976. He worked for many years as a produce and grocery stocker for Giant Eagle and Keebler/Kellogg companies.

In his younger days, Tom enjoyed playing the sandlot sport versions of basketball, softball and football. He played for many years in the church softball league for Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Tom was especially fond of his dog, Ace, watching sports on television and reading the newspaper. Often you could find him, with Ace, doing one of the other two.

Thomas is survived by one sister, Karen M. Birckbichler; one brother, David E. Albert; one niece, Carrie Wooten; and four nephews, Bryan Birckbichler, Calvin Birckbichler, Chad Birckbichler and Dustin Birckbichler.

ALBERT — At this time, there will be no visitation for Thomas R. Albert, who died Thursday, March 28, 2024. A public memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements were entrusted to THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North, Butler.
