Rock Steady boxing for people with Parkinson’s in Butler

A Butler fitness center has a new boxing program adapted for people with Parkinson’s disease.

Rock Steady Boxing involves regular exercises, such as stretching, bicycling, running, jump-roping, pushups, balancing and lots of noncontact boxing, is offered at Butler Legacy Fitness starting Monday, April 1.

Rock Steady Boxing serves men and women of all ages and levels of ability, according to a news release from Legacy Fitness. The program was developed in Indianapolis over the course of seven years, and now there are more than 770 Rock Steady Boxing affiliate programs around the world, with all coaches in the program officially certified by Rock Steady Boxing.
