Motorists in the northern part of Butler County are advised that work on the Portersville Bridge replacement project will resume on Monday, April 1.

That day, crews will begin work on asphalt paving for the new bridge, which is a two-span, steel multi-girder bridge. The new structures replace the existing crossing carrying East Portersville Road over Interstate 79. The $6.3 million project is estimated to finish this June.

As part of this process, single-lane traffic and flaggers will be in place along a stretch of East Portersville Road, between Route 19 and Badger Hill Road.
