Alicia Peters

Peters

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of our beautiful daughter, Alicia Renée Peters, 32, of Virginia Beach, Va., formerly of Butler, on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Alicia was born to her proud and loving parents Wade and Linda Peters on July 3, 1991.

She was the mother of Leslie Jasmin Jaques, who she adored and whom she called her princess; sister of Megan “Sunny” Campbell and aunt of her nephew, Jeulyen C. Kenedy, of Butler; sister of Kristen Peters and aunt of her niece, Hailey Caulderon, and nephew, Leland Gautreau, of Butler; aunt of her niece, Maddelyn Toner of East Butler; and sister of her brother, Joshua Peters, of Butler. She was the niece of Robert Campbell of Butler, Dave (Regina) Campbell of Clearfield, Pa., and Rick (Heidi) Campbell of Butler. She also had many aunts, uncles and cousins, too many to mention, but all who loved her dearly.

Alicia loved to hunt and fish with her dad, siblings and friends. She was a free spirit who had a special connection with animals, especially her horses and our beloved dog, Roscoe, who she grew up with. She shared her love of horses with her family and friends, which spanned three generations. She loved showing her horses, training and trail riding.

She also loved helping her dad cut firewood, which has always been our heat source, and preferred using an ax instead of the log splitter. Alicia also loved helping him scrap. If there were things to do outside that was always her preference. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church of Prospect and a graduate of Butler High School in 2008.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, great-grandparents, aunt, and other loving family members.
