The Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Center, an addiction treatment facility in Butler, will soon provide medication-assisted treatment and similar treatment services at Greene County Prison in Waynesburg.

The Gaiser Center will be responsible for providing assistance to incarcerated individuals suffering from addiction through prescription medication and counseling services.

The program will be funded by a two-year grant Greene County received from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.

“This new relationship builds upon our success with treating inmates at Butler County Prison and further establishes Gaiser as a valuable regional resource in addiction treatment and recovery,” said Joe Mahoney, executive director of the Gaiser Center.
