Boy, 4, airlifted after being hit by car in driveway

A 4-year-old boy in Parker Township was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh after being hit by a car backing out of a driveway shortly after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 30.
David Blair, deputy chief with Bruin Volunteer Fire Department said the child “darted” in the driveway. According to Blair, he was in stable condition when he was taken by helicopter.
Bruin Volunteer Fire Department and Karns City Regional Ambulance Service responded to the scene, he said.
The incident occurred in the 500 block of Redwood Road, according to dispatchers.
