Kenneth Lohr Sr.
Kenneth R. Lohr Sr., 88, of Evans City, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, March 17, 2024.
He was born in Frackville, Pa. on Dec. 26, 1935, to the late Homer H. Lohr Sr. and Tressa Robinson Lohr. The family moved to Clarksburg, W.Va. when Ken was six, then to Jane Lew, W.Va. Married for 66 years, they raised 3 children. They moved to Evans City in 1966.
Ken worked as a heavy equipment operator, starting at his father’s strip mining company. Ken and Esther enjoyed traveling all over the United States. Ken loved anything Snoopy, cutting the grass, working in his greenhouse and large garden, playing cards, hosting picnics on the porch, watching football (especially the West Virginia Mountaineers), watching “Gunsmoke” over and over again, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Ken was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be very missed.
