Knoch approves wastewater line; electrical change order
JEFFERSON TWP — Board directors at Knoch School District approved a construction directive by Eckles Construction to replace an outdated wastewater line during a school board meeting Wednesday, March 13.
The decision comes after John Pappas, project manager with Eckles Construction, gave an update on the $39 million Knoch High School renovation last week.
Replacing the terra cotta line — which runs through a retention pond near Knoch Middle School — would cost up to $100,765, Pappas had said at a work session March 6.
Wednesday evening, school board directors also approved an electrical change order with Merit Electrical Group to replace a faulty handle that controls power in the high school auditorium.
Replacing the handle, which is currently padlocked, would cost about $7,610, superintendent Dave Foley said after the meeting.
