Rebecca Crawford

Rebecca “Becky” Crawford, of Butler Township, celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, March 9, with a dinner with family and friends.

She was born Rebecca Swartzlander on March 9, 1924, in Butler County.

She married Roy Crawford on Aug. 16, 1949, at North Street Christian Church in Butler. He is deceased.

Crawford worked at Armco Steel for three years, then Montgomery Ward for 35 years.

She taught Sunday school at North Street Christian Church, babysat for the children’s programs at North Main Street Church of God, and volunteered as the secretary at many local lodges.
