Butler Senior High School will present “Elf: The Musical” at 7:30 p.m. March 15 and 16 in the school auditorium.

Reserved-seat tickets are $12 and will be available Monday, March 4, at May’s Music Shoppe, 247 E. Jefferson St., Butler. Tickets also will be sold at the door on performances nights.

Dale VanLaningham is director, Stephanie Marshall is musical staging director, and Ali Erevia is vocal director.

Choreographer is Danielle Smith, pit conductor is Shanna Daubenspeck, and technical director is Robert Harrison.

Will Eberle is assistant technical director, Audrey Eberle is in charge of costumes and makeup, and Ethan Richards is student stage manager.

Based on the 2003 movie “Elf,” starring Will Ferrell, “Elf: The Musical” tells the story of Buddy, a young orphan, who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole.

Buddy is raised as an elf, unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity.
