Anna Mae Wonderly, 91, of Butler, formerly of West Sunbury, passed away the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, while residing at Concordia of Cabot.

Born on Jan. 17, 1933 in Clay Township, Anna Mae was the daughter of the late Francis and Martha (Sankey) Piper.

She was a member of the West Sunbury United Church of the Nazarene. She was employed as a nurse’s aide for 23 years at the former Spencer’s Nursing Home and also Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She enjoyed reading, going to yard sales, and most of all, enjoyed the company of her family.

Anna Mae is survived by one son, David (Margie) Wonderly of Pittsburgh; two daughters, Debbie (Dennis) Edinger of Grove City and Carol (Dennis) Bartley of Hilliards; one stepdaughter, Patty Boyer of Harrisville; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; five stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Lewis (Janet) Piper Jr.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Lewis J. Piper.

WONDERLY — Family and friends of Anna Mae Wonderly, who died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at WILLIAM F. YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Tim Britton, of the West Sunbury United Church of the Nazarene, officiating.

Burial will follow in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
