John Todd Pfeifer, 71, of Ross Township, Pa., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, while on a cruise in Thailand, with his wife, Markay, by his side.

Born Dec. 24, 1951, in Schenectady, N.Y., and raised in Saratoga, Calif., he was the son of Harry John Pfeifer and Mary Burton Todd.

Todd worked for many technology companies and was working for Coherent when he passed. He was an Eagle Scout, a Theta XI Fraternity brother at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Naval officer. He enjoyed playing golf and watching sports, especially the 49ers, Warriors and the Penguins.

Todd is survived by his wife, Markay Pfeifer; his daughter, Adin Kern; his grandson, Justin Kern; his sister, Margaret Ramsay; and his two nephews, David Ramsay and James Ramsay.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

PFEIFER — Friends of John Todd Pfeifer, who died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, are invited to attend his celebration of life ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2024, at North Way Christian Community, 12121 Perry Highway, Wexford.
