Sandra Ferguson
Sandra S. “Sandy” Ferguson, 74, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, while under the care of North Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Sandy was born March 13, 1949 in Butler, and graduated from the Butler High School, Class of 1967. She immediately went to work in the business world until going back to Butler County Community College in 1994. Sandy graduated with honors in 1996, receiving her degree in nursing. She spent 10 years at Butler Hospital in the mental health field, and then worked in home health care until her retirement.
Sandy and her husband, Jim, enjoyed going to their camp in Forest County in the fall months. Above all, Sandy enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband of 45 years, James H. Ferguson, whom she married on April 1, 1978; sons, Matthew James Ferguson of York, Pa., and Jason James Ferguson of Chicora; daughter-in-law, Beth Ferguson; grandchildren, Zachary James (Vanessa) Ferguson of Phoenix, Ariz. and Madde Ferguson of Columbia, S.C.; great-grandson, Liam James Ferguson; sister-in-law, Donna Leary; special niece, Jessica Toth of Fredonia, Pa.; special cousin, Connie Fleeger; and a few nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Charles Thompson; her mother, Sylvia Elliott Klever; her stepfather, Ronald Klever; her brother, Ronnie Klever; and her sister, Sue Jones.
FERGUSON — Friends of Sandra S. “Sandy” Ferguson, who died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, will be received from 3 p.m. until the time of the blessing service at 7 p.m. Sunday at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew, with the Rev. Father Kevin Fazio as celebrant.
Interment will take place at Hemphill Cemetery in Chicora.
Memorial donations may be made in Sandy’s honor to the Butler Health System Foundation with “Caring Angel Program” on the memo line, sent to 1 Hospital Way, Butler, PA 16001.
