People with maple trees on their property can learn to tap them at an event at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at the South Butler Community Library, 240 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

Attendees will learn to identify maple trees, items needed for tapping, how to tap and how to turn sap into maple syrup.

All ages are welcome to attend the free event, which will include refreshments.
