Beverly Stewart

Stewart

Beverly “Bev” Ann Stewart joined the love of her life, Chief Master Sgt. Kenneth Stewart, in God‘s kingdom on Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024.

Born in Parish, N.Y., on May 15, 1943, she was the loving daughter of Allen and Leila Seaman.

A young country girl who left a small town world to join her new husband across the ocean at an Air Force base in Germany in 1961, she then continued to make a home all over the world as she proudly followed Ken wherever the Air Force sent them.

She was God’s gentle, quiet soul who loved deeply and was devoted to her family. Her ability to soothe colicky babies was unparalleled. She spent a lifetime caring for people too numerous to list. She and Ken helped and took in hosts of neighbors, foster kids, family and friends. Even some of those who know her best would be surprised by the many talents and accomplishments in her life. At points in her life she was a bowler, golfer, avid reader, saleswoman, quilter, companion on hunting and fishing trips, and a dog lover (she could keep dogs living well past their life expectancy). If she could be described in one word it would be “love.” Hundreds of people knew her as Grandma Bev or just simply Gram.

She is survived by her son, Mike Stewart and his wife, Bridget, of Frannie, Wyo.; and her daughter, Deana Young and her husband, Terry, of Butler; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Timothy (Stephanie), Nichole (Joe), Rachel (Corey), Chelsea (Derrick) and Trever; 11 great-grandchildren; and lastly her most recent canine companion, her grand-dog Ditto.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her sister, Betty.
