Malchano

Linda J. Malchano, 77, of Adams Township, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, in the comfort of her home with her loving family at her side.

Born Jan. 21, 1947, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Ruth Kossman Bauer.

Linda graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1964 and received her bachelor’s degree from LaRoche College. She retired from her position as president of Corinthian Colleges.

Linda enjoyed traveling, watching the Steelers and Pirates games, trips to the casino, feeding the birds and deer in her backyard, and eating good chocolate. She loved her monthly luncheons with Aunt June Tabrosky and her cousins, Susan Kossman and Carol Green. She also loved lunch outings and spending time at the river with her lifelong friends.

Linda was the beloved wife of 56 years of Frederick “Rick” J. Malchano whom she married on Nov. 11, 1967; the loving mother of Michelle (Tom) Morrison of Harrisburg, S.D., and Jennifer (Chance) Turner of Adams Township; and the adoring Nana of her grandson, Silas Turner, whom she loved dearly and cherished spending her time with.

Linda was the sister of Patricia Bauer, Milton (Barb) Bauer, Gary (Linda) Bauer and David (Diane) Bauer; and the sister-in-law of Marybeth and Steve Denniston, Molly Malchano and Joanna Malchano. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and many special friends.

MALCHANO — Linda J. Malchano, who died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, will be honored and remembered privately by her family and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
