James Elton Dunn, 87, of Evans City passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024.

He was born in Butler on Feb. 21, 1936, to the late James and Marian (Douthett) Dunn.

He was employed by Armco Steel for 43 years. A resident of Port Charlotte, Fla., for over 10 years, he enjoyed the warm Florida weather. He also loved golfing and Pittsburgh sports teams.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Coyle) Dunn, whom he married in 1985; daughter, Linda (Matt) Burns; son, David (Jessica) Dunn; two grandchildren, Xavier and Aubrey Dunn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Chiodo; and son, James Christopher “Chris” Dunn.

DUNN — No visitation will be held for James Elton Dunn, who died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024. The burial at Butler County Memorial Park will be private.
