Carmella Bombara
Carmella Bombara, 94, of Butler, formerly of Pittsburgh, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at 7:45 a.m., at Sunnyview Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Butler.
She was born on Dec. 10, 1929, in Pittsburgh, to the late John and Rose LaGamba.
Carmella was a member of Muddy Creek Presbyterian Church, where she regularly assisted with funerals and dinners over the years as part of Cross and Crown. She enjoyed spending her life as a homemaker.
Carmella was married on Sept. 27, 1958, to John M. Bombara, who preceded her in death on April 20, 2011.
She is survived by four sons, David (Lisa) Bombara, Mark Bombara, Rick (Penny) Bombara and Ronald Bombara; five grandchildren, John Bombara, Angela (Andy) Hoehn, Bradley Bombara, Krista (Eric) Stalker and Joshua (Kayla) Bombara; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and spouse, Carmella was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
BOMBARA — Family and friends of Carmella Bombara, who died Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Muddy Creek Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 341 Muddy Creek Drive, Butler, with Pastor Matthew Kail of the church officiating.
Burial will follow the services at Muddy Creek Cemetery.
