Jaycees honor Distinguished Service recipients February, 1970

The Butler Junior Chamber of Commerce had its annual Distinguished Service Award banquet scheduled Feb. 7, 1970.

James E. Jones was announced as winner of the Junior Outstanding Man of the Year and T. Earl Boliver was named the Senior Outstanding Man, according to the Feb. 9, 1970, edition of the Butler Eagle.

The guest speaker was Jimmy Piersall, who played baseball professionally in Boston, Cleveland and Los Angeles. The 1970 Junior Miss of Butler County, Lori Walters, also attended the meeting.

A dance with music by the Mickey Hammond Duo followed the dinner attended by 400 people.
