Craig ‘Ace’ Saul III

Craig “Ace” G. Saul III, 68, of Butler, passed away on Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, at his home.

Born May 3, 1955, in Butler, he was the son of the late Craig Jr. and Alice Davis Saul.

He started his career in the coal mining industry, where he was an equipment operator, mechanic and truck driver. He was most recently employed at PennDOT District 10, in Butler County.

Ace enjoyed his yearly trip with his wife to Myrtle Beach, visiting with family at dinners, cookouts and spending time with his grandchildren. He had a love for animals, including having many Dobermans throughout his life, and he especially loved his Doberman puppy, Ginger.

He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Kim M. Saul; his sons, David Saul of Butler and Steven Saul of Slippery Rock; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; daughter-in-law, Elaine Saul; brothers, Robert (Bonnie) Saul, John (Tracy) Saul and William “Pete” Saul; mother-in-law, Virginia Erie; and sister-in-law, Kathy Erie.

In addition to his parents, Ace was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Saul; one nephew; father-in-law, Andrew Erie; and sister-in-law, Karen Erie.

SAUL — Visitation for Craig “Ace” G. Saul III, who died Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
